The El Paso Symphony Orchestra
The El Paso Symphony Orchestra (EPSO) is a non-profit organization in El Paso, Texas. It has a deep history from all the way back to 1930. The EPSO is the oldest performing arts organization in El Paso, and the longest continuously running organization in Texas.
The EPSO has many programs to get audiences involved in music. Their goal is to provide concert music to the people in El Paso. The EPSO has a program called the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra to educate young musicians to play their instruments. Other special events attracts new audiences into the EPSO.
Currently, the EPSO is celebrating its 84th season. EPSO is recognized both nationally, and internationally. In 1996 they went on a tour to Germany, and in 2000 they went to Turkey.
